An Invitation to Join Amicus Society

The Amicus Society is a special group of friends who have arranged a planned gift to support an Advocate Health Care hospital or program. Advocate Charitable Foundation provides membership in the Amicus Society to recognize the extraordinary commitment of these individuals and to express our appreciation for their thoughtful generosity.

Becoming a Member is Easy!

  • Provide for one or more of Advocate's hospitals or programs in your will or living trust
  • Set up an income-producing planned gift — like a charitable gift annuity, a deferred-payment charitable gift annuity, a charitable remainder trust or a charitable lead trust — naming one or more of Advocate's hospitals or programs as a beneficiary
  • Donate real estate for the benefit of Advocate hospitals or programs
  • Make a gift of life insurance to Advocate
  • Designate Advocate as a beneficiary of your retirement plan
  • Make a gift from your IRA account
  • Initiate an endowment

When you make any type of planned gift benefiting Advocate, just let us know. Making any type of planned gift benefitting an Advocate hospital or program qualifies you for membership into the Amicus Society. You need not reveal the amount or give us copies of your legal papers. Of course, you can always choose to join and remain anonymous.

After you have made your planned gift to us, please fill out the Amicus Society Membership Form by clicking here. Thank you for your planned gift to Advocate.

Membership

Your membership involves no dues, obligations, or solicitations, but it does allow us to thank you and recognize you for the plans you have made, and it may inspire generosity in others.

As a member of Amicus Society you will enjoy special recognition (unless you wish to be an anonymous donor) and invitations to exclusive programs and events, seminars and a subscription to our newsletter. The most important benefit, however, you will receive from joining Amicus Society is the satisfaction derived from making a lasting contribution to our long-term prosperity.
