gift planning
Welcome! And thank you for your interest in exploring ways to support your favorite Advocate hospital or program. As part of a not-for-profit system, each Advocate entity relies on charitable gifts to help fulfill its mission. Advocate Charitable Foundation, also a 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt organization, accepts gifts on behalf of all Advocate hospitals and programs—and ensures that every contribution is invested in accordance with the donor's wishes.

My colleagues and I at the Foundation's Office of Gift Planning can help you explore creative ways to meet both your philanthropic and financial goals—and this site offers a great place to start. Here, you will find information about what to give—whether you want to make a current gift of assets, a gift that provides life income, or a gift made through an estate plan. The site also has instructions on how to make a gift, such as suggestions for bequest language and ideas about gifting retirement account assets, life insurance policies and making gifts of securities. Additionally, there is useful material for professional advisors on estate and charitable planning—along with timely articles on these topics.

You'll also enjoy reading our stories about what motivates donors to make planned gifts. For many givers, a carefully planned gift establishes a legacy that expresses their values in the most tangible and enduring way possible.

Please know we stand ready to assist you as you discern your charitable intentions. Thank you again for considering our health care mission as a philanthropic priority.
